Vanessa Williams attended the Black British Theatre Awards in London on Sunday, wearing a glamorous pair of slingback pumps from Ron White, further showcasing her dedication to the Canadian designer’s footwear.
White was tapped by Williams, a longtime fan of the retailer-turned-designer, to create shoes to wear on stage as Miranda Priestly in the West End musical adaptation of “The Devil Wears Prada.” His eponymous brand is even selling shoes inspired by Williams’ Miranda Priestly in a limited-edition “The Devil Wears Prada” collection; one of these heel styles is a black pump with colorful floral embroidery, recently worn by the actress at the 2026 Powerlist Celebration of Black Excellence Awards on Friday.
For this latest formal occasion, Williams went with a style outside the collection she inspired, opting for the Daphny Silver, a pointed-toe slingback with a gradient of Swarovski crystals transitioning from silver to blue down the pointed vamp. Elevated by a low heel, the shoes provided a frosty sparkling accent to a light pink dress featuring one puffed sheer long sleeve with ornate embellishment at the cuff.
Also available in an Onyx colorway, the Daphny style retails for $595 from the label. The shoe uses Ron White’s All Day Heels technology — he launched the brand with the “All Day Heels” line, but has widened his scope to include other silhouettes, including bestselling sneakers.
Making big moves lately, Ron White launched his men’s category in the U.S. last year and rapidly partnered with Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, among additional independent names. He also teamed with Qurate Retail Group’s Home Shopping Network in November, following years of working with Canada’s largest home shopping network.
